My Story

Casey Tomlinson is a dedicated professional currently on the path to obtaining his Counselor License in Georgia. A graduate with a psychology degree from Northern Arizona University in 2005, Casey's journey of service began when he joined the United States Marine Corps the same year. His tenure included a combat deployment to Afghanistan in 2009 with his infantry unit, culminating in an honorable discharge at the rank of Staff Sergeant. Casey's commitment to serving his country continued in law enforcement as a Community Outreach Officer before advancing his academic journey with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University in 2023. His dedication to mental health is deeply rooted in personal and professional experiences.
Casey's rich background in working with Veteran Military and Law Enforcement populations, coupled with his connection to the neurodiverse community through personal family experiences, enriches his counseling practice. He is particularly adept at addressing addiction, PTSD, anxiety, and depression, utilizing a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach while emphasizing the importance of adapting his techniques to each individual's needs. This approach underscores his deep understanding of the complexities involved in mental health challenges.
Beyond his professional accolades, Casey is passionately committed to assisting clients through various life challenges, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, self-esteem building, divorce, grief, and emotional regulation. He aims to equip clients with tools, education, empathy, and warmth, enabling them to rediscover their desired life perspectives. Casey's dedication extends to creating a safe and open space where individuals can express themselves freely and share their life experiences without fear.
A long-standing resident of Statesboro, Casey has lived in the area for the past decade alongside his family and plans to continue contributing to this community. Casey is a compassionate advocate for mental health, ready to guide his clients on their paths to healing and self-discovery.
